Thanksgiving Nails

Holiday nail art is my favorite type of nails to do, especially around this time of year. Thanksgiving is approaching and its time for my annual turkey manicure. Today I'm going to show you some pictures of my Thanksgiving nails. I originally wanted to show you how I achieved this look via tutorial but my tripod broke while I was recording. Of course I was very upset because I only had a few more steps to record before I was finished. However, I wasn't going to let something like a broken tripod stop me, so I decided to just keep it moving. Ok so lets get started, I used a total of eight nail polishes to achieve this look. Do not let the number eight discourage you from trying this design, most of the polishes were just used for tiny details. First, lets start with the main color which is Teal Twin by Sally Hansen. I painted my thumb, middle, and pinky finger with this shade. On my middle finger I added a glitter ombre with Juliette by ILNP Boutique Nail Lacquer. Second, I used Oversized Sweater(white) by Native War Paints on my ring and pointer finger. Third, I used Sally Hansen's guide strips to paint the chevron design. Fourth, I used Sally Hansen's black nail art pen and Unplugged(brown) by China Glaze to draw and paint the turkey. Finally, I used Almost Famous(yellow) by Color Club Nail Lacquer, Silly Billy(orange) by Butter London, and Curiosity(red) by Formula X to paint the feathers. Since I was having a few complications such as my tripod breaking and smudging my turkey eyes, I was just over it. As of a result, I was feeling a little unsatisfied with this year's turkey nails. Overall, I think they look pretty good but they could have been better. Comment down below and let me know what you think. Don't forget you can find me on Facebook and Instagram! I hope that everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

JLB Nail Polish Swatches & Review

Hey guys! Today I have my swatches and review of the 4 piece nail lacquer collection set by JLB Cosmetics. I haven't heard of or tried this brand before. While doing research on this company, I found very little information on them. Therefore, I will just get on with the review. I got this polish set from Ross for $5.99. I normally stay away from buying nail polish sets like these because I'm always skeptical of the quality. When I saw how cute these little polish bottles were I thought I would give them a try. I must admit I've never seen nail polish bottles like these before, they remind me of perfume bottles. Although, they are pleasing to the eye the brushes were a little uncomfortable to use. The brush was short and the top of it felt like a door knob. As a result, it was kind of hard to get a good grip on it. But, I've had more difficult times while painting my nails. In addition, these polishes had a slightly strong smell, but after a while it went away. Howeve…

EA Polish Swacthes & Review

Hello everyone! For today's post I'm going to be sharing with you my swatches and review of indie polish brand EA Polish. I've been following EA Polish on Instagram for quite some time. Therefore, when CEO/Founder Ellyse contacted me to do a review for the company, I was very excited! What intrigued me the most about EA Polish is how it came about. After becoming a mother, Ellyse's friends and family started inquiring about her formally fabulous nails. Not only did Ellyse decided to do something about it, she started her own nail polish company. If anyone knows anything about the joys and sometimes woes of motherhood, is me. I'm pretty sure some of you guys can relate. Being a mom can be challenging at times, we have a 1,000 things to do and so little time to get them done. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy being a wife and a mother. However, it can become overwhelming to the point where you began to neglect the simple things in life. For example, getting your hair d…

Nail Therapy? Let's get Personal!

Hey guys! welcome to my blog. I started this blog a year ago along with when I first started Instagram(IG). I was feeling a little overwhelmed with the blog and my IG page, so I decided to just focus on having fun with IG. Its been almost a year later and let me tell you, its been one heck of a ride. I have had so much fun meeting nice people, participating in nail art challenges, and experimenting with new nail art techniques. I never knew there were so many other people out there like me who loves nail polish. Some people may wonder why would any one love nail polish so much. Well, I love nail polish because there's not a size on the bottle, I don't have to squeeze into it, it just goes right on my nail. I wear nail polish because it may be a special occasion or maybe it just makes me feel relaxed after a long day of taking care of my son and cleaning the house. Here is a picture of some nail art that I did on January 14, 2016. My son Malachi had to have surgery on the next …
