JLB Nail Polish Swatches & Review
Hey guys! Today I have my swatches and review of the 4 piece nail lacquer collection set by JLB Cosmetics. I haven't heard of or tried this brand before. While doing research on this company, I found very little information on them. Therefore, I will just get on with the review. I got this polish set from Ross for $5.99. I normally stay away from buying nail polish sets like these because I'm always skeptical of the quality. When I saw how cute these little polish bottles were I thought I would give them a try. I must admit I've never seen nail polish bottles like these before, they remind me of perfume bottles. Although, they are pleasing to the eye the brushes were a little uncomfortable to use. The brush was short and the top of it felt like a door knob. As a result, it was kind of hard to get a good grip on it. But, I've had more difficult times while painting my nails. In addition, these polishes had a slightly strong smell, but after a while it went away. However, there's no denying that these shades are gorgeous. I realize I have to be realistic with this review. Four polishes for $5.99 is a great bargain. When you pay a price like that you can't expect the quality to be like China Glaze or OPI. Overall, I enjoyed playing with these polishes and look forward to trying more in the future.
Hot CrushHot Crush is a bright candy apple red polish with a jelly like consistency. While applying the first coat I noticed the polish was a little on the thin side. So I applied 2 more thick coats. No top coat applied.
Glamour Metal is a micro-shimmer nail polish. This shade was opaque in two coats. Also, it was very shiny, especially when it hits the light. However, it took a little time to get all the little sliver glitters off my skin after removal. No top coat applied.
Grace is a sheer fuchsia polish. It was opaque in two coats, no top coat applied. This shade is just simply gorgeous, it has such a distinct mature look about it. I love a classic pink shade!
Pixie is a gold glitter polish. This polish was very thick and only needed one coat. No top coat applied. Pixie is my favorite out of all four. It's so lovely especially in the light.
