Zoya Enchanted Holiday 2016 Collection Swatches and Review

Hey Guys! Today I have my swatches and review of Zoya's Enchanted Holiday 2016 Collection. One of my friends on Instagram informed me that they were having a 70% off sale on Black Friday. I have never tried this brand before so this was the perfect opportunity. The collection at regular price is $60.00 and I paid $18.00. What a steal right? After I placed my order on 11/25/16 I received my order almost two weeks later, which is not bad considering the amount of orders they had. When my order arrived my nail polish was in a small box with lots of paper for cushion to protect the nail polish from breaking. At first glance I knew these polishes were going to look amazing. Out of 6 polishes four are PixieDust (textured) and the other two are color-flips (shifting colors). I can see why they named this collection Enchanted, these colors are dark, sparkly, and hypnotizing. Down below I have names and swatches of each polish. Until next time! Happy Holidays!

Catching Up

Hey guys! I haven't posted in a while and just wanted to let you guys know what I been up too. Just know if your not hearing from me doesn't mean I'm not doing my nails. On the other day I realized that I been a nail blogger for a little over a year. It's amazing how time flies when your painting your nails. When I first started this journey I knew very little about the nail community. But, over the past year I have learned new skills and met so many wonderful people. What I like most about our community is that its more than just about nails. For some of us its about relaxing after a really hard day or just simply expressing our selves through a form of art. It really warms my heart when someone messages me just to say hello or ask how my day is going. I look forward to what next year will bring to me. Now, moving on to what I been up to. The holiday season is my favorite time of year. I love drinking my Starbucks latte on a cold fall or winter morning, in my opinion…

JLB Nail Polish Swatches & Review

Hey guys! Today I have my swatches and review of the 4 piece nail lacquer collection set by JLB Cosmetics. I haven't heard of or tried this brand before. While doing research on this company, I found very little information on them. Therefore, I will just get on with the review. I got this polish set from Ross for $5.99. I normally stay away from buying nail polish sets like these because I'm always skeptical of the quality. When I saw how cute these little polish bottles were I thought I would give them a try. I must admit I've never seen nail polish bottles like these before, they remind me of perfume bottles. Although, they are pleasing to the eye the brushes were a little uncomfortable to use. The brush was short and the top of it felt like a door knob. As a result, it was kind of hard to get a good grip on it. But, I've had more difficult times while painting my nails. In addition, these polishes had a slightly strong smell, but after a while it went away. Howeve…

INDIE POLISH LOVE...KBShimmer

Hey guys! Lately I been on a quest of trying different indie polish brands. If your not familiar with indie polish, then let me explain. Indie polish is usually a small business that hand makes nail polish. Also, most of indie polish can not be found in stores but only online. One thing that I love most about indie polish is that many of them are camphor, carmine, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), toluene, and formaldehyde free. Which means they do not contain chemicals in them that can be harmful to you. The most recent indie polish brand that I have tried is KBShimmer. I ordered four polishes off of their Amazon store for $9.25 each. And I know what your probably thinking, does she get everything from Amazon? The answer is yes, I receive about 90% of my nails stuff from Amazon. I am a Amazon Prime member and I take advantage of the free two day shipping that comes with my membership. Keep in mind that not all indie polish lines have Amazon stores. Also, another great way to find different i…

Gel Nails Tutorial

Hey Guys! Today I wanted to give you the details on my gel nails mani that I posted on Instagram and Facebook on Monday. Because Instagram only allows 60 seconds for videos I wasn't able to put every thing in it. First let me just say that I love gel nails. However, I'm not able to wear them like I want because I paint my nails every two to three days. Can you imagine taking off gel polish every two to three days? Your worst nightmare, right? Last week I went to Sally's Beauty Supply and they had a sale on some of their gel nail products, which motivated me to dust off my uv light lamp and put it to use. I have everything listed down below of what I got from my mini nail haul. Also, all of these products were used for this mani. While recoding my tutorial I forgot to record myself painting my nails with "RE-FRESH-MINT" which is the minty green polish that you see in the picture on the right. Also, another step that I did not include is after I applied my gel top…

ttluvstutorials

Hey guys! Well, I have finally done it. I have entered the video world! I been wanting to make tutorials for a while now but I just didn't know where to begin. I first started out with making slide shows of my favorite manis. I had fun with doing those until I started getting board. However, the thought of making a nail tutorial was intimidating. Every day, I see so many awesome nail videos and I wonder how people even do it. Eventually, I let all my fears go and decided to try it. You'll be surprised at what you can do with a iPhone. I have to say though, making a nail tutorial can be quite tricky. For instance, you have to fit 10:00 minutes worth of footage into 60 seconds. Oh Yeah! Don't forget you need the right lighting and proper hand placements. But, I'm pretty sure as time goes on I will get better. In the future I hope to post longer videos here on my blog. But for now, I have a tutorial for my pink cloud mani. If you didn't  know by now, pink is my favor…

Parrot Polish Swatches & Review

Hey guys! Today I have swatches and my review of the two polishes that I got from the indie polish line Parrot Polish. Parrot Polish is family owned and has been operating since 2014. Their polish is 100% cruelty free and 5-Free. Parrot Polish inspiration comes from the many colors of parrots and parakeets. I found out about them while searching for thermal nail polish on Amazon. Thermal nail polish changes colors in response to the heat or cold. What I love most about thermal polish is the constant state of  gradient effect that it gives your nails. Its like buying two polishes for the price of one. It's no secret, I'm obsessed with thermal polish. But it's really hard to find or shall I say, its hard to find ones that actually work. Also, while searching on Amazon, most of the thermal polishes needed a UV light. I own a UV light but I only use it for certain occasions. I was so excited when I finally found a quality brand that needed no UV light to dry. I bought two sha…
